When the Theme Itself Won't Do: Moving Beyond a Culture of Sustainability
The central theme of this presentation is that our focus as a human family should be on transforming the current social, economic, and environmental systems instead of sustaining them. I use an unlikely tandem to make my case: Karl Barth from a theological standpoint and Karl Marx from a philosophical/economic standpoint.
